The past year was a time of great challenges and exciting opportunities for the Oneida Indian Nation. Three of the top stories for 2008 were—the August announcement by the Department of Interior to place about 13,000 acres of the Nation’s 17,000-plus acre reservation into federal trust; the Nation’s float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade; and the second year of the Turning Stone Resort Championship, an official PGA TOUR event.
